Anna Maria Sarah Gaubert nee Manners 1819-1880, the 3rd wife of John Peter Gaubert whom she married in 1851. She was the daughter of Robert Manners 1771-1831 (landscape gardener to Count Scherimetieff) and Elizabeth Rutherford. She was the great grand daughter of the Duke of Rutland. Anna was the mother of Robert Gabriel Albert Gaubert, Peter Alfred Martin Gaubert and Lucy Alice Gaubert |

Born 1813 ? in Russia. Died 27th Oct 1875 at the Vicarage House in the parish of Pokroff in Kolomna, St Peterrsburg, Russia. He was Chaplain to Russian Embassy in London from 1843 until 1875. A good friend and executor of John Peter GAUBERT. Married Anna ? who was born c.1817 in Russia and who was buried on the 21st May 1867 in London. Her death at 32, Welbeck Street London aged 50 (on Death Certificate) is recorded under the spelling of 'Popoff' - an apt name for such an event ! This family are shown on 1857,1861, and 1871 Census. He was said to be Confessor to Grand Duchess Marie when he accompanied her to London for her marriage to Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh in 1874. Their son Eugene died in 1859 at Marylebone, London. |
